In dem Film „Decolonize Chocolate“ begleiten wir fairafric Gründer Hendrik auf seiner Reise und gehen zusammen mit ihm der Frage nach, warum Schokolade so gut wie nie in den Ursprungsländern des Kakaos hergestellt wird. Wir erleben den Alltag von Bio-Kakaobäuerin Mavis, vom Schokoladenfabrik-Arbeiter Michael und von Yayra, dem Gründer der ersten Bio-Kakao-Initiative Ghanas. Dadurch geben wir exklusive Einblicke in die Pionierarbeit der ghanaischen Schokoladenproduktion.

Fairafric ist ein junges & soziales Start-Up aus München, das die Schokoladenwelt revolutionieren will! Um dieses Ziel zu erreichen, produziert es - vom Kakaobaum bis zur fertig verpackten Tafel - Schokolade in Ghana. Somit werden Arbeitsplätze außerhalb der Landwirtschaft geschaffen und das lokale Einkommen im Ursprungsland verfünffacht.

Eine Veranstaltung vom Stuttgarter Weltladen an der Planie, Weltladen Bad Cannstatt und dem Welthaus Stuttgart.
